VACANCY DETAILS

1. (Vacancy No. 18101901613) Two Assistant Engineer (NQA) Electrical, Directorate of Quality Assurance (Naval), DGQA, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence (ST-01, OBC-01). The post is suitable for Physically
Challenged Persons viz. Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy with disability i.e. One leg affected (Right or Left) (OL) or Hearing Impairment with disability i.e. Partially Deaf (PD). The posts are permanent. Pay Scale: Level-7 in the pay matrix as per 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group ‘B’ Gazetted, NonMinisterial.
Age: 30 years. QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: (A) EDUCATIONAL: Degree in Engineering in the discipline of Electrical/ Electronics Engineering. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years practical experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control /
Production / Manufacturing and testing of Engineering Equipments including knowledge of various standards and their interpretation. NOTE-I: The qualifications are relaxable at Union Public Service Commission discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. NOTE-II: The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion
of the Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number of candidates from these communities possessing the requisites experience are not likely to be
available to fill up the posts reserved. DESIRABLE: Experience in Computer operation for the purpose of preparation Technical reports Technical Briefs etc. DUTIES: The officer shall be responsible for quality assurance, acceptance, inspection of equipments and stores; defect investigation, trials, vetting of draft indents/agreements/supply orders, sampling plans, liaison with production units, removal of bottlenecks and suggesting methods of improvement of quality. HQ: New Delhi with All India service liability.
ANY OTHER CONDITIONS: Candidate recruited to the post will be covered by the new contributory pension scheme and the candidates selected are required to join immediately.

Service, Ministry of Defence (SC-01, OBC-01, UR-05). The post is suitable for

/ Cerebral Palsy with disability i.e. One leg affected (Right or Left) (OL) or Hearing
Impairment with disability i.e. Partially Deaf (PD). The posts are permanent. Pay
Scale: Level-10 in the pay matrix as per 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group ‘A’
Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. Age: 35 years. QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: (A)
EDUCATIONAL: (i) Degree in Architecture of a recognized University or Institution or
equivalent i.e. Associate membership of the Indian Institute of Architect (IIA) by
examination. (ii) Two years experience in profession. (iii) Registered with council of
Architecture. (B) EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in profession. NOTE-1: The
qualifications are relaxable at Union Public Service Commission discretion in case of
candidates otherwise well qualified. NOTE-II: The qualification(s) regarding experience
is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission in case of
candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Schedule Tribes in respect of posts
reserved for them. DUTIES: (i) To co- ordinates all planning activities (up-to NIT stage)
and works in close liaison with other disciplines involved in project planning. (ii) To
supervise and guide the Assistant Architects, Architectural Assistants and allocate
work to them and check the drawings & specifications in respect of dimensions, norms
and to ensure that the drawings are correct and complete in all respects i.e. contains
all information required for preliminary estimate//detailed estimate. (iii) To prepare
preliminary drawings/ detailed drawings/layout plans/presentation drawings/calculate
areas/perspective/3D models. He/She is responsible to check the accuracy,
correctness and neatness of the above. (iv) To supervise maintenance of drawing
records & reference books, to arrange and issue prints of the drawings as directed by
his senior officers. (v) Interaction with users, obtaining technical data & He /She will
be member of the BOO for projects. (vi) Participating in various work conferences &
other miscellaneous administrative task. (vii) To assist the Architects/Senior Architects
in their administrative and technical functions, whenever called upon to do so. HQ: New

4. (Vacancy No. 18101904613) One Principal Design Officer (Electrical),
Integrated Headquarters (NAVY), Directorate of Civilian Personnel, Ministry of
Defence (UR-01). The post is suitable for Physically Challenged Persons viz.
Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy with disability i.e.
One leg affected (Right or Left) (OL) or Hearing Impairment with disability i.e. Deaf (D)
or Partially Deaf (PD). The post is permanent. Pay Scale: Level-12 in the pay matrix
as per 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. Age:
45 years. QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: EDUCATIONAL: (i) Degree in
Electrical/Electronics/ Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized University or
equivalent*; (ii) 10 years practical experience in design/installation/ construction of
ships. *The interpretation of ‘EQUIVALENT’ here means any Technical Institution
recognised by AICTE/UGC and not to be construed as Educational Qualification.
NOTE: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service
Commission in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. DUTIES: (i) Execute &
advise all technical, professional and administrative work as a group leader of a project
and finalise system design. (ii) Enable evaluation of design; carry out feasibility
studies, laying down design standard and specifications. (iii) Framing of statement of
requirements for ships board equipment and systems. Lead the team of technical and
commercial negotiations committee. (iv) Participate in all equipment trials, sea trials,
design studies and consultancies forming part of the ship design and construction

5. (Vacancy No. 18101905613) One Refrigeration Engineer, BCG Vaccine
Laboratory, Guindy, Chennai, Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of
Health & Family Welfare (UR-01). The post is suitable for Physically Challenged
Persons viz. Orthopaedically Handicapped / Locomotor Disability / Cerebral Palsy with
disability i.e. One leg affected (Right or Left) (OL) or Hearing Impairment with disability
i.e. Partially Deaf (PD). The post is permanent. Pay Scale: Level-7 in the pay matrix
as per 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group ‘B’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. Age: 35
years.

QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: (A) EDUCATIONAL: Degree in Electrical
/Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University. (B) EXPERIENCE: One Year’s
practical experience in the maintenance and handling of medical laboratory equipments
and Refrigeration plants. NOTE: The qualifications are relaxable at Union Public
Service Commission discretion in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. DUTIES:
Maintenance of Deep Freezer, Freeze Driers and other Instruments and equipments
involved for producing vaccines. HQ: Chennai.
6. (Vacancy No. 18101906613) One Deputy Director (Safety) (Civil),
Directorate General Factory Advice Service& Labour Institute (DGFASLI),
Ministry of Labour and Employment (UR-01). The post is permanent. Pay Scale:
Level-11 in the pay matrix as per 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group ‘A’
Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. Age: 40 years. QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: (A)
EDUCATIONAL: Degree in Civil Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.
NOTE: The word “Equivalent” means pass in Section A and Section B of AMIE of the
Institution of Engineers (India) in relevant branch of Engineering i.e. Civil Engineering.
(B) EXPERIENCE: Five years experience in design and construction of building and
other structures. NOTE: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public
Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates
otherwise well qualified. DESIRABLE: Experience in designing factory welfare building
and working class dwellings. DUTIES: (i) Carrying out surveys (including safety surveys
in ports) research studies in the field of industrial safety and conducting training
programs for the various levels of supervisory personnel and dock workers. (ii)
Preparation of safety literature, conducting educational and training programs. (iii)
Dealing with matters concerned with Factories Act and Model Rules. (iv) Work in
connection with the enforcement of Dock Workers (Safety, Health and Welfare) Act
1986 and the rules and regulation framed thereunder. HQ: Liable to serve any where
in India.
7. (Vacancy No. 18101907613) One Additional Assistant Director (Safety)
(Mechanical), Directorate General Factory Advice Service& Labour Institute
(DGFASLI), Ministry of Labour and Employment (SC-01). The post is permanent.
Pay Scale: Level-7 in the pay matrix as per 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group
‘B’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. Age: 35* years. QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: (A)
EDUCATIONAL: Degree in Mechanical Engineering of a recognized University or
equivalent. NOTE: The words equivalent means pass in Section ‘A’ and Section ‘B’ of
AMIE of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Mechanical Branch of Engineering. (B)
EXPERIENCE: Two years experience in an Engineering workshop or in docks/shipyard.
NOTE-1: Engineering workshop is “a small establishment which undertakes repairs,
alterations and manufacturing activity or light engineering works etc”. NOTE-II:
Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission,
for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
NOTE-III: The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the
Union Public Service Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of
candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of
selection the Union Public Service Commission is of the opinion that sufficient number
of candidates from these communities possessing the requisites experience are not
likely to be available to fill up the posts reserved. DESIRABLE: Experience in planning,
organizing and coordinating of research, education and training activities pertaining to
industrial/dock safety. DUTIES: (i) Assisting Senior Officers in –Diploma courses,
procurement and preparation of training aids, workshops/researches and survey works.
(ii) Inspection – Port premises, ships, lifting machineries, loading and unloading of cargo
to and from ships in connection with Dock Workers (SHW) Act, 1986. (iii) Investigation
of accidents and dangerous occurrences. (iv) Providing technical advice during
Inspections. HQ: Liable to serve any where in India.
8. (Vacancy No. 18101908613) Twenty-three Deputy Director of Mines Safety
(Electrical), Directorate General of Mines Safety, Ministry of Labour and
Employment (SC-04, ST-01, OBC-06, UR-12). The posts are permanent. Pay Scale:
Level-12 in the pay matrix as per 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group ‘A’
Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. Age: 40 years. QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: (A)
EDUCATIONAL: (i) Degree in Electrical Engineering of a recognized
University/Institution OR pass in Section A and B of the Associate Membership
examination in Electrical Engineering Branch from the Institution of Engineers
(India). (B) EXPERIENCE: Ten years’ professional experience in generation,
transmission or distribution of electricity or maintenance of electrical equipment
(including at least two years experience in Electrical Engineering in direct relation
to plant and equipment used in mining). NOTE-I: Qualifications are relaxable at the
discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in
writing, in case of candidates otherwise well qualified. NOTE-II: The qualification
regarding experience is relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service
Commission for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates belonging
to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, if at any stage of selection the Union

9. (Vacancy No. 18101909613) Forty-four Deputy Director of Mines Safety
(Mining), Directorate General of Mines Safety, Ministry of Labour and Employment
(SC-09, ST-06, OBC-18, UR-11). The posts are permanent. Pay Scale: Level-12 in
the pay matrix as per 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group ‘A’ Gazetted, NonMinisterial.
Age: 40 years. QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: EDUCATIONAL: (i)
Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or Institution OR pass
in Section A and B of the Associate Membership examination in Mining Engineering
Branch from the Institution of Engineers (India)incorporated by the Royal Charter
1935. (ii) First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate granted under the Coal Mines
Regulations,2017 (Unrestricted) or under the Metaliferous Mines regulations, 1961
(Unrestricted) and (iii) Ten years experience in Mining in large and mechanized
underground Mines. NOTE-I: Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union
Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in case of candidates
otherwise well qualified. NOTE-II: The qualification regarding experience is relaxable at
